Cast Iron Kitchen values
Gluten-Free & Paleo
I believe the way to happiness, mental clarity, and beauty is through nutrition.
My path to Cast Iron Kitchen began while attending an Integrative Mental Health conference held by Dr. Andrew Weil. At the time, I was studying to become a psychologist. I loved learning about talk therapy, but the classes on pharmaceutical interventions weren't sitting well with me and I knew talk therapy is not accessible or effective for all. At the mental health conference, I realized the missing piece in typical psychology practice: nutrition. The studies highlighted at the conference connected mental health to nutrition in a way I had never considered before. The revelation was so eye-opening for me, I completely changed my lifestyle and moved to San Francisco for nutrition and culinary school at Bauman College. That was 2012, and Cast Iron Kitchen has been in business ever since.
Always on a mission to learn and improve, I attend as many conferences, seminars, and continuing education events as possible. As new science emerges on nutrition, epigenetics, and mindfulness, I take care to integrate it into my menu and nutrition practice. I want my clients to feel assured that they're receiving the absolute best ingredients and guidance for their health.
