I believe the way to happiness, beauty & mental clarity is through nutrition.

I'm a 6th generation Texan with California dreams. I studied psychology at Pepperdine University in Malibu, and briefly lived in Buenos Aires, Switzerland, and the Galapagos.

My path toward Cast Iron Kitchen began while attending an Integrative Mental Health conference held by Dr. Andrew Weil. I realized the missing piece in typical psychology practice-- nutrition. The studies connecting mental health to nutrition were so eye-opening for me, I completely changed my lifestyle and I moved to San Francisco for nutrition & culinary school at Bauman College. I'm deeply grateful to be able to help people on a primal, cellular level. What could possibly be more essential in our busy, overwhelmed lives than soul-warming, exciting, nutrient dense food?

I've been eating a whole foods, paleo style diet for six years now, and I have so much more energy, purpose, clarity, and happiness. My body, hair, and skin have also changed drastically. My hair suddenly grew long and shiny, my muscles toned, and my skin vibrant. I knew I needed to help others achieve the same results-- to become the best versions of themselves.

I love the countryside and my ultimate goal is to have a farm and grow food for Cast Iron Kitchen. My sweet Aussie shepherd Indy is also enthusiastic about this countryside goal.
