I started Cast Iron Kitchen in 2012 with a mission to help people feel their best. I switched career paths from psychology to nutrition after realizing that eating good food is the baseline to all health: body, mind, and spirit.
I’m here to cook food that supports you on every level, from mental clarity, to physical strength, good digestion, and glowing skin.
We keep current on nutrition research while honoring our philosophy that fresh foods closest to the earth, eaten in a wide variety with moderation is the key to good health. Pleasure is a huge part of eating well.

What to expect from a private chef
Working with a private chef may be a new experience for you - not to worry! We’re here to walk you through every step of the process and make sure your needs are met and questions are answered.
Personalized Menu & Schedule
After filling out our contact form, the staff at Cast Iron Kitchen in Nashville will reach out on an intro call to understand your dietary needs and help pair you with a chef to match your needs. At this time, you’ll also find out what day you can expect your food to be delivered. After this initial call, we will collect an initial deposit and send over a client agreement. We begin with a three-week introductory period followed by a 30-day commitment, so clients can get to test different cuisines from our chefs.
Grocery Shopping
On the day of delivery, your chef will take care of the grocery shopping for you, we pride ourselves on choosing the highest quality, organic, local ingredients that are straight from the earth.
Prep and Delivery
Your chef will then prepare your personalized menu, package it up and deliver it straight to your door!
How much is a private chef in Nashville?
The cost of a private chef varies depending on the experience provided, the type of food, and the ingredients used. For Cast Iron Kitchen, our private chef services begin at $385/week plus the cost of ingredients. This allows us to take a personalized approach to each client and provide them with the delicious, healthy meals they’re looking for. I can’t remember a day when I didn’t love cooking. As a kid, I would make mud pizzas outside in old pizza boxes and salads out of pinecones, grass, and sticks. After college I wanted to get my hands dirty in a kitchen, so I worked at a magazine publisher where I cooked and learned more about food than I could ever dream.
Nowadays when I’m not creating dishes for clients or friends, I’m cooking and styling food for brands like Southern Living, Food & Wine, People, Parents, Real Simple, The Pioneer Woman, and Williams Sonoma.
Even on my days off, I always find myself drawn back to the kitchen— creating something new or just wanting to try out that new recipe I read in a cookbook I was thumbing through.
I love the place where flavor, nutrition, wellness, art, and wholeness meet and I love to share that with other people through my bold cooking and unforgettable flavors.
